Outdoor recreation has always been part of who we are. Tug Hill is one of the premier riding destinations in the Northeast, and we're proud to be a stop that riders can count on throughout every season.
Whether you're exploring hundreds of miles of snowmobile trails in the winter or riding ATVs and side-by-sides during the warmer months, Highmarket is ready when you are. Grab lunch, meet your riding group, fuel up, stock up on gear, or have your machine serviced by mechanics who ride the same trails you do.
Our Story
Highmarket's roots stretch back to 1968, when the original farmhouse became a neighborhood tavern. In 1992, the business moved into the building that many visitors came to know and love over the next three decades.
In April 2024, tragedy struck when a devastating fire destroyed much of the building. With incredible support from our community, family, friends, and first responders, Highmarket was rebuilt from the ground up. We reopened stronger than ever while preserving the character and traditions that have made Highmarket a Tug Hill landmark for generations.
One of our favorite pieces of history remains the original bar top, which showcases dozens of historic photographs from the local area beneath a clear epoxy finish — a tribute to the people, places, and stories that built this community.
